Basketball Recap: Roaring Fork Starts Season with Victory at Home + How To Watch

Roaring Fork took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Plateau Valley Cowboys with a sharp 89-63 victory. This was payback for the Rams, who suffered a 48-39 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Ryder Tezanos was nothing short of spectacular: he went 10-for-14 to rack up 22 points. Those 22 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Carballeira, who posted 14 points and five assists.

Several Cowboys players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was London Mitchell, who shot 55% from the field en route to 24 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Colter Ralston, who went 7-for-16 on his way to 22 points and three blocks.

Coming up, Roaring Fork won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Fort Lupton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Plateau Valley, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Basalt at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
