Basketball Recap: Warren Central Takes a Loss

Warren Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a 46-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ridgeland Titans. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-35 back in January.

Ridgeland found their leader in freshman Jaelyn Luckett, who posted 16 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Jordan Austin was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Warren Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Ridgeland, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-13 record.

Warren Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-19 loss against Columbus on the 28th. Ridgeland has also already played their next match, a 63-41 defeat against Vicksburg on the 28th.
