Baseball Recap: Montabella Comes Up Short

Montabella was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 12-7 to the Central Montcalm Hornets. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hornets from their previous meeting back in April of 2019.

Mason Bogart was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Austin Jensen, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Montabella's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Central Montcalm, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

While Montabella had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
