Volleyball Recap: Mishawaka Marian Takes a Loss

If Mishawaka Marian was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of South Bend Saint Joseph on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carroll Chargers on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Chargers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Elle Boser paced Mishawaka Marian's offense, picking up two kills. Boser got some help from Bri Lundy and her four assists. Lanie Tomczak controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Mishawaka Marian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Carroll, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Coincidentally, Mishawaka Marian and Carroll will both be playing Northridge the next time they take the court. The Knights will head out to face the Raiders at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Chargers will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
