McDonell Central is a perfect 10-0 against Regis since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Macks will head out on the road to face off against the Ramblers at 5:00 p.m. McDonell Central's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Regis' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

McDonell Central will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Fall Creek, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Macks came out on top against the Crickets by a score of 6-1 on Tuesday. The game was the first time the Macks have beaten the Crickets on their field since May 3, 2019.

Meanwhile, Regis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-10 heartbreaker at the hands of Cadott. Even if the Ramblers couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Bella Borton and Maddy Payne did some serious damage despite the final result: Borton went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base, while Payne went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those RBI marked the first that Borton has brought in this season.

McDonell Central is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Regis, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Everything went McDonell Central's way against Regis in their previous matchup on April 14th, as McDonell Central made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Macks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
