Soccer Game Preview: Geneva vs. Pine

The Geneva Knights will head out on the road to take on the Pine Knights at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Geneva sitting on three straight victories and Pine on nine.

Geneva is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They won by a goal and slipped past Master's Academy 2-1.

Camila Cabito and Elisabet Rosario scored both of Geneva's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 34 goals.

Meanwhile, Pine kept a clean sheet against St. Edward's on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won 12 contests by four goals or more so far this season.

Pine's victory bumped their record up to 13-1-1. As for Geneva, their win bumped their record up to 12-2-2.

Everything went Geneva's way against Pine when the teams last played back in February of 2020, as Geneva made off with a 4-0 victory. Does Geneva have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pine turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
