Volleyball Game Preview: Turner Lions vs. Lone Star Rangers

Turner is 0-8 against Lone Star since September of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Lions will square off against the Rangers at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Turner lost 3-0 to Creekview on Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-21, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Lone Star came up short against Reedy on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

Lone Star started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-11.

Turner will have to contain Tilah Perez as she made an impact in Lone Star's last game. She had 26 digs and six assists. Perez has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Lone Star's defeat dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Turner, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.

Turner might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Lone Star in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
