Baseball Preview: Northview Knights vs. Plainfield Quakers
The Northview Knights will face off against the Plainfield Quakers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Northview has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
On Wednesday, Northview didn't have quite enough to beat Edgewood and fell 2-1.
Trey Edlridge was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits.
On the hitting side, Northview saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Pierce, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Plainfield didn't have quite enough to beat Perry Meridian on Wednesday and fell 3-2.
