John Paul II dropped down to 13-5 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Golden Warrriors have suffered since April 12, 2025.

As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, the victory (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 25-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games.

For Hilton Head Christian Academy's part, Colt Spargur looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Spargur has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
