Softball Recap: Crosby Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

Crosby never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They came out on top against the West Fork Gators by a score of 4-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-2 back in March.

Not much got past Tori Dahnke, who gave up just a hit and racked up ten Ks to keep West Fork off the board. Dahnke has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Andi Owen, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Crosby is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for West Fork, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-16.

Looking ahead, Crosby will square off against Dayton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Fork does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
