Volleyball Recap: Jeremy Portillo's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Norwich Free Academy over South Windsor

It was a proper cat-fight when Norwich Free Academy challenged South Windsor on Friday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 3-2. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Norwich Free Academy took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-17, 21-25, 25-23, 15-12.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jeremy Portillo, who had ten digs and one assist.

Norwich Free Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for South Windsor, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.

Norwich Free Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Putnam on the 28th. As for South Windsor, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Hall on the 28th.
