Softball Recap: Hanover Central's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Hanover Central lost against Andrean back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats took a 17-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fighting 59ers. On the bright side, the 14- run effort marked the Wildcats' highest-scoring match to date.

Sienna Stilley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Kaden Poppe, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hanover Central fell to 4-1. As for Andrean, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Hanover Central has already played their next contest, a 17-1 victory against Hammond Morton on the 16th. As for Andrean, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-8 defeat against Kankakee Valley on the 16th.
