Basketball Recap: Houma Christian Comes Up Short

Houma Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Franklin Hornets, falling 76-38. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Hornets are ranked 139th).

Houma Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Franklin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 24-12 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Houma Christian will face off against Berwick at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Franklin, they will square off against St. Martinville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Martinville will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Franklin surely won't give up without a fight.
