Basketball Recap: Alpine Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Alpine extended their home winning streak to six games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Evelyn Smith. The Alpine Bucks enjoyed a cozy 47-32 victory over the Presidio Blue Devils on Tuesday thanks in part to Smith, who posted 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

The team also got some help courtesy of Colette Fowlkes, who scored six points and 13 boards. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in January of 2024.

Alpine has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Presidio, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-7.

Alpine wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 72-11 win against Anthony on the 17th. Presidio has also already played their next contest, a 44-41 defeat against Kermit on the 17th.
