Soccer Recap: Roosevelt Starts off Right with Win over Lynnwood

Roosevelt had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Lynnwood Royals by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The Roughriders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Royals, too.

This is the second loss in a row for Lynnwood and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will head out to challenge Bishop Blanchet at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup will give Bishop Blanchet their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Lynnwood, they will take on Archbishop Murphy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will also be Lynnwood's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
