On Saturday, while Plum put up some runs, the same can't be said for Huntsville. The Plum Mustangs blew past the Huntsville Eagles 10-0. The high-scoring effort was just what Plum needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Plum got a great performance from Colin Watson as he didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Jake Dombkowski and Carter Sciullo did most of the damage at the plate: Dombkowski scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Sciullo scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Lafferty, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Plum now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Huntsville, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plum is on the road again on Wednesday to play Pine-Richland at 4:15 p.m. As for Huntsville, they will face off against Gravette at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
