Basketball Recap: Chatsworth Starts Season with Victory Against Verdugo Hills + How To Watch

Chatsworth took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They took down the Verdugo Hills Dons 60-43. The win continues a trend for the Chancellors in their matchups with the Dons: they've now won five in a row.

Aaron Krueger went supernova, putting up 25 points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in steals (two). Another player making a difference was Salvance Torres, who posted 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Verdugo Hills lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Samvel Ambartsumyan, who put up five points in addition to five boards and three steals. Jordan Vargas was another key player, scoring eight points and five rebounds.

Looking ahead, Chatsworth will be playing at home against Bishop Alemany at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Verdugo Hills, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-51 defeat against Eagle Rock on the 17th.
