Baseball Recap: Central Cambria Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Central Cambria hadn't done well against Bedford recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Red Devils came out on top against the Bisons by a score of 8-4. This was a revenge game for the Red Devils: when they faced off against the Bisons back in April, they had to take a 6-1 loss.

Owen Harringer tossed a big game, striking out ten batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Grady Snyder and Ben Howard did most of the damage at the plate: Snyder went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases and two runs, while Howard went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave Howard a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brayden Blasko, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Central Cambria has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Bedford, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.

Central Cambria does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bedford, they will take on Kiski Area at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
