Soccer Game Preview: Manistee vs. Ludington

Manistee is 1-8-1 against Ludington since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Chippewas will square off against the Orioles at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Manistee earned a 3-1 win over Glen Lake. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Manistee.

Ludington hadn't beaten Big Rapids on the road since June 2, 2016 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. The Orioles beat the Cardinals by a goal, winning 2-1.

Ludington pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four matches. As for Manistee, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.

Manistee came up short against Ludington when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Chippewas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
