Leading Avery County to victory were Zoie Mcclarrin and Kesleigh Krege. Mcclarrin scored 12 points along with four steals, while Krege scored 11 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Krege has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kylie Holtsclaw, who scored nine points along with two steals.
NCSSM: Morganton's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-12. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.7 points per game. As for Avery County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season.
