Basketball Recap: Durant Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

If Plant City wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Durant, they should've done a better job of containing Elani-Hazel Randall. The Durant Cougars simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Plant City Raiders 66-29 thanks in part to Randall, who dropped a triple-double on 37 points, ten boards, and 11 steals. Those 11 steals gave her a new career-high.

Alexi Alvarez and Chyanne Gines certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Alvarez posted six points, while Gines had ten points along with eight steals and six rebounds. Gines is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played.

Durant has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Plant City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-10.

Durant has already played their next contest, a 61-38 defeat against Armwood on the 15th. As for Plant City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 36-35 loss against Jefferson on the 15th.
