GV Christian is a perfect 7-0 against Founders Classical Academy since September of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 12:00 p.m. GV Christian will be looking to extend their current 21-game winning streak.

Last Thursday, GV Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Needles, taking the game 2-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: GV Christian took both sets by at least 16 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Founders Classical Academy hadn't done well against Lake Mead Christian Academy recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Centurions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Eagles.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Founders Classical Academy got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 30-28, 12-25, 15-9.

Founders Classical Academy found their leader in freshman Dakota Perkins, who had 14 digs and two assists.

GV Christian's win bumped their record up to 27-4. As for Founders Classical Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

GV Christian took their win against Founders Classical Academy in their previous matchup last Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Guardians since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
