Basketball Recap: Ellsworth Snags Tenth Win in Last 11 Games

Ellsworth won the last time they faced Bucksport and things went their way on Saturday too. The Ellsworth Eagles put the hurt on the Bucksport Golden Bucks with a sharp 65-45 victory. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Golden Bucks are ranked 91st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ellsworth is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Bucksport, they dropped their record down to 2-15 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.

Ellsworth will challenge Mount Desert Island at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ellsworth is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games. As for Bucksport, they are taking a road trip to face off against Washington Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
