Centennial had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 12-10 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Shadow Ridge Mustangs, sneaking past 6-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-3 two weeks ago.

Lily Fournier spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Centennial's win was truly a team effort as nine different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sydnee Smith, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

As for Shadow Ridge, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered against Centennial since April 25, 2019.

On Shadow Ridge's side, Aleana Aionaaka was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Centennial is set to take on their familiar foe Palo Verde at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs are on a five-game streak of home wins, the Panthers a seven-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. Meanwhile, Shadow Ridge will challenge rival Liberty at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
