Recap: Istrouma Indians vs. Northeast Vikings

The Istrouma Indians pushed their score all the way to 55 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northeast. Istrouma has struggled against Northeast recently, as their game on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Brian Duncan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Northeast, scoring 44 points along with 4 steals. The matchup was Duncan's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Derrick Cavalier, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.

The last time Istrouma won on the road was back last Tuesday. Having now lost three straight away games, they've bumped their record down to 0-3. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for Northeast, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season.

Istrouma will look to defend their home court on Monday against St. John at 6:00 p.m. As for Northeast, they will head out on the road to face off against Westminster Academy on Friday. Westminster Academy is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
