Football Recap: La Junta Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After soaring to 40 points the game before, La Junta was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were outmatched by the Strasburg Indians and fell 48-12. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.

Although La Junta took the loss, they still got scores from Joe Nunez and Gavin Denahy.

Cade Hemphill went supernova For Strasburg., rushing for 141 yards and three scores while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Hemphill showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 67 yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, La Junta fell to 2-1. As for Strasburg, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

La Junta has already played their next game, a 45-25 defeat against The Classical Academy on the 19th. As for Strasburg, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-13 win against The Academy on the 20th.
