The Fort Frye Cadets will face off against the Waterford Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Frye's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Waterford's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

While Fort Frye's victory against Marietta wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cadets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Tigers on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Cadets in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Waterford). They put the hurt on Belpre with a sharp 21-4 win on Thursday. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.

Waterford's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Fort Frye, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
