Basketball Recap: Cary Takes a Loss

Cary was the 42-33 winner over Green Hope when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cary Imps lost 46-26 to the Green Hope Falcons on Monday. The Imps have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Abigail Brown continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Green Hope, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 18 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least a third of Green Hope's points. Another player making a difference was Chloe Lee, who posted ten points and three steals.

Cary's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Green Hope, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cary won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Middle Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Green Hope, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll take on Panther Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Panther Creek will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Green Hope surely won't give up without a fight.
