Volleyball Game Preview: Horizon Hawks vs. Monarch Coyotes + Official Tickets

The Horizon Hawks will take on the Monarch Coyotes at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Horizon is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Horizon faced off against Frederick on Thursday. The Hawks fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 3-2.

Horizon actually scored more points across those five sets (104-98), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-21, 16-25, 25-23, 17-25, 15-10.

Meanwhile, Monarch had just enough and edged out Longmont 3-2 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Coyotes.

Monarch wouldn't go down easily and took Longmont into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-15, 25-9, 16-25, 18-16.

Horizon's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Monarch, their win bumped their record up to 16-5.
