Basketball Recap: Arcadia Falls Despite Big Games from Jordan Cropper and Ryhiem Pettit

Arcadia lost against Snow Hill back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Arcadia Firebirds fell 62-52 to the Snow Hill Eagles. The Firebirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ryhiem Pettit and Jordan Cropper certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Pettit dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards, while Cropper posted 11 points along with six boards and five assists. Pettit has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times he's played. Lavar Johnson was another key player, putting up eight points.

Arcadia now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Snow Hill, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Arcadia will host Salisbury at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Arcadia is facing Salisbury at the right time seeing as Salisbury is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Snow Hill, they will head out to face off against Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
