Basketball Recap: Rockwall-Heath Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Rockwall-Heath and Wylie squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Rockwall-Heath had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wylie Pirates, falling 68-44. The Hawks have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Despite the loss, Rockwall-Heath still got an impressive performance from Kaleb Turner-Dicus, who went 7-for-17 to rack up 20 points along with five boards and three steals. Turner-Dicus' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Wood, who posted six points.

Even though they lost, Rockwall-Heath smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive matches.

Rockwall-Heath's defeat dropped their record down to 23-10. As for Wylie, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 23-11 record this season.

Rockwall-Heath does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wylie, they will face off against Duncanville on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Duncanville sitting on five straight victories and Wylie on seven.
