Recap: Welch Wildcats vs. Watts Engineers
The Welch Wildcats were the 55-36 winner over the Watts Engineers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Welch took a 59-44 bruising from Watts on Tuesday. Welch can't seem to catch a break and have yet to win any of their three games.
Despite the loss, Welch still got an impressive performance from Deighton Bellew, who scored 17 points along with 4 steals. Colin Damann was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Welch's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Watts, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Welch will challenge Bluejacket at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Watts, they will head out on the road to face off against Fairland at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Fairland's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
