Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bear River walked away with it. They came out on top against the John Adams Academy Rsvl/Lin Patriots by a score of 3-1 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in March.

Bear River had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-20, 26-24, 25-23.

Bear River is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. As for John Adams Academy Rsvl/Lin, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-5.
