Volleyball Game Preview: Davis Pirates vs. Eastmont Wildcats + Official Tickets

The Davis Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the Eastmont Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Saturday, Davis didn't have quite enough to beat Ridgeline and fell 3-2. While the Pirates didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Falcons 25-14 in the first set.

Davis took Ridgeline into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-16, 25-19, 25-27, 15-10.

Meanwhile, Eastmont suffered their biggest defeat since September 23rd on Saturday. They came up short against Cashmere, falling 3-0.

While Eastmont was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Cashmere's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-12, 25-15.

Eastmont's loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for Davis, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Everything went Davis' way against Eastmont in their previous matchup back in September, as Davis made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
