Baseball Recap: Escalon Cougars vs. Livingston Wolves
Escalon easily dispatched Buhach Colony last Wednesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Escalon Cougars fell just short of the Livingston Wolves by a score of 7-5 on Friday. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Escalon got a good showing from Zach Wells, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Wells has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Logan Huebner was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.
