Basketball Recap: Marquette Takes a Loss

If Marquette was riding high fresh off their 57-20 takedown of Putnam County last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Marquette Crusaders fell 63-56 to the Roanoke-Benson Rockets on Thursday. The Crusaders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rockets earlier this season, when they won 51-43.

Marquette's loss dropped their record down to 20-10. As for Roanoke-Benson, their win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-5.

Coming up, Marquette will head out to challenge Hall at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. As for Roanoke-Benson, they will be playing at home against Flanagan/Woodland at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
