After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Clinton, Strom Thurmond was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Emerald Vikings, sneaking past 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Rebels: when they faced off against the Vikings last Wednesday, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

Strom Thurmond took Emerald into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-19, 19-25, 25-12, 15-13.

With the victory, Strom Thurmond broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5. As for Emerald, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-5 record.

Strom Thurmond has already played their next match (against Swansea), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Emerald, they will head out on the road to face off against Wren at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Vikings' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
