Ninilchik is 6-1 against Tok since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Ninilchik Wolverines just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Tok Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Tok will be up against a hot Ninilchik team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Ninilchik took their matchup on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 70-40 win over Unalaska.

Meanwhile, Tok came up short against Jimmy Huntington on Friday and fell 66-59. That's two games in a row now that the Wolverines have lost by exactly seven points.

Ninilchik will need to focus on slowing down Lucas Hipp, one of several Tok players who made an impact when they last played. He almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds. Hipp is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games he's played. Marvin Captain was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Tok smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 16 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Ninilchik pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.5 points over those games. As for Tok, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Ninilchik skirted past Tok 68-66 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Does Ninilchik have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tok turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
