Volleyball Recap: Delano Beats Southwest Christian for Their 13th Straight Victory

Delano had already won 12 in a row and they went ahead and made it 13 on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Southwest Christian Stars with a sharp 3-0 win. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Stars, too.

Delano walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-19, 25-13, 25-16.

Delano was led to victory by Kaelyn Wittwer and Braylee Rue. Wittwer had 20 digs and two assists, while Rue had seven digs and two aces. That's the most digs Wittwer has posted over her last six matches.

Delano's record is now 18-1. As for Southwest Christian, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Delano will head out to challenge Hutchinson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southwest Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Chaska at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
