Basketball Recap: Paoli Takes a Loss

Paoli was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 56-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Central Rebels. While the Rams didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rebels 12-7 in the first quarter.

When it comes to explaining why Paoli lost, don't look at Jericho Hopper. Despite the final result, she went 9 for 10 on her way to 20 points and six rebounds. That was a full 41.7% of Paoli's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. Addie Payton was another key player, putting up ten points.

Paoli's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for South Central, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-10.

Paoli has already played their next matchup (against Mitchell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. South Central will face off against Borden at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
