Basketball Recap: Minneota Comes Up Short

Minneota lost against Central Minnesota Christian back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Minneota Vikings were dealt a 68-32 defeat at the hands of the Central Minnesota Christian Bluejays. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Bluejays are ranked 87th).

Minneota's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Central Minnesota Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Minneota will head out to challenge Pipestone at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pipestone knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Minneota likes a good challenge. As for Central Minnesota Christian, they are taking a road trip to face off against Yellow Medicine East at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Central Minnesota Christian is facing Yellow Medicine East at the right time seeing as Yellow Medicine East is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
