Basketball Recap: Gibbs Eagles vs. Clinton Dragons
The Gibbs Eagles lost against the Clinton Dragons back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Gibbs took a hard 60-46 fall against the Dragons.
When it comes to explaining why Gibbs lost, one person who can't be blamed is Zack Turner. Despite the final result, he scored 31 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Turner has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Dujuan Harris, who scored two points.
Gibbs' loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Clinton, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-9.
Gibbs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Cumberland Gap has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 21. As for Clinton, they will head out on the road to face off against the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Union County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matches.
