Basketball Recap: Stringer Comes Up Short

Stringer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Taylorsville Tartars 46-6. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-6 last Tuesday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Taylorsville to victory, but perhaps none more so than London Young, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Aliana Johnson, who scored nine points.

Stringer's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Taylorsville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season.

Stringer has already played their next game, a 46-17 win against Mississippi School for the Deaf on the 27th. As for Taylorsville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-16 victory against Mount Olive on the 27th.
