Temple Christian dropped their record down to 5-3 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys, falling 11-0. The shutout was out of character for the Crusaders seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

As for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-6 record. Considering they have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

For Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy's part, they got a massive performance out of Alex Crowl, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Crowl is becoming a predictor of the Ospreys' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 4-6 when he doesn't). Dylan Webster also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Temple Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Grace Christian on the 22nd. As for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 21-1 victory against Westover Christian Academy on the 21st.
