Baseball Recap: Luling Comes Up Short

Luling was the 7-5 winner over Stockdale when they last played one another on April 4th, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell 4-1 to the Brahmas on Tuesday. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Kade Samuelson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Luling's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Stockdale, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-14-1.

As of now, neither Luling nor the Brahmas have any future games scheduled.
