Football Recap: Polk County Comes Up Short

Polk County lost against Bledsoe County back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats came up short against the Warriors, falling 35-14. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cecil Burns threw for 88 yards on six of 12 attempts. On the ground, Gabe Adams rushed for 95 yards and two scores.

Polk County's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Bledsoe County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Polk County will challenge Pigeon Forge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.4 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bledsoe County, they will face off against Marion County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Marion County's defense has only allowed 6.3 points per game this season, so Bledsoe County's offense will have their work cut out for them.
