Basketball Game Preview: East Wake Academy Eagles vs. Research Triangle Raptors

The East Wake Academy Eagles will take on the Research Triangle Raptors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Last Tuesday, East Wake Academy came up short against Research Triangle and fell 53-45. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

East Wake Academy better keep an eye on Sam Griffith. He was instrumental in Research Triangle's win, almost dropping a double-double with 23 points and nine boards. Those 23 points gave Griffith a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Darien Venable, who posted 11 points and five rebounds.

Research Triangle has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for East Wake Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15.
