Southern Worcester County - A Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Finn Gilmore Delivers Best Effort of Season

On Friday, Grafton got the W thanks in part to Finn Gilmore playing the best football he has all season. Gilmore rushed for 262 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.5 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 78 yards.

Gilmore must have Shrewsbury's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Gilmore rushed for 164 yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Colonials duked it out back in October of 2023.

Another Game with at Least 103 Rushing Yards from Sergio Hernandez

Millbury was led to victory by Sergio Hernandez, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Hernandez's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 103 rushing yards.

Unfortunately for Leicester, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Hernandez. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Hernandez saw the Wolverines), he rushed for 143 yards and two touchdowns.

Camden Lachapelle and Co. Win 19th in a Row

Camden Lachapelle's big game helped extend Uxbridge's winning streak to 19 on Friday. Tantasqua Regional had no answer to Lachapelle as he rushed for 193 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Lachapelle is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 138 every time he's taken the field this season.

Uxbridge pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Lachapelle will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Millbury on Friday.
