Basketball Game Preview: Centennial Spartans vs. Pebble Hills Spartans

The Centennial Spartans will take on the Pebble Hills Spartans in a tournament on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Centennial has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Pebble Hills will arrive with three straight victories.

Last Friday, Centennial lost to Mansfield Summit on the road by a 56-37 margin. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 398th, while the Jaguars are ranked 53rd).

Meanwhile, Pebble Hills beat Eastwood 61-53 on Friday.

Pebble Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.9 points per game. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.
