Softball Recap: French Settlement Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when French Settlement challenged Doyle on Tuesday. The French Settlement Lions came up short against the Doyle Tigers, falling 14-4. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 13-5 to them when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

French Settlement saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amelia Roshto, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. Another was Jacelyn Babin, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

French Settlement's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. French Settlement will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Joseph's Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 21st. Doyle also won't see the field for a while: their next game is against Central at 11:00 a.m. on February 22nd.
